Rory McIlroy is on top of the golf world after back-to-back wins at the British Open and Bridgestone Invitational, but unfortunately one scoreboard operator wasn’t on top of his game Friday afternoon.

McIlroy is on his way to adding a third consecutive tournament win to that list, surging up the leaderboard during the second round of the PGA Championship in Louisville, Ky. Or at least someone with a similar last name to him was.

Because of an unfortunate spelling error, the scoreboard showed someone named “McIlory” atop the leaderboard at Valhalla Golf Club.

In the operator’s defense, “Rory McIlory” does have a pretty nice ring to it.

The mistake didn’t appear to faze the golfer either, as he is 9 under par heading into the weekend, giving him a one-shot lead over Jason Day and Jim Furyk.
