Marc Savard’s NHL career is over, but he’ll still be involved in hockey.
The former Boston Bruins center will be a scout for the Ottawa 67s of the Ontario Hockey League, according to Chris Stevenson of NHL Home Ice XM 218.

Savard, who was born in Ottawa, played in the OHL from 1993-94 through 1996-97 with the Oshawa Generals. In 238 career games with the Generals, he scored 132 goals and dished out 281 assists. He eclipsed the 100-point plateau twice in four seasons in Oshawa, bagging 139 points in the 1994-95 season and 130 points in the 1996-97 season.
Savard signed with the Bruins in 2006 as a free agent and scored above a point-per-game rate in his first three full seasons in Boston. The veteran forward was forced to end his playing career after suffering two concussions, one in March 2010 and the other in January 2011.
