Thaddeus YoungThaddeus Young’s time in the City of Brotherly Love appears to be over.

The Philadelphia 76ers reportedly have a deal in place to send Young to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a 2015 first-round pick and players Luc Mbah a Moute and Alexey Shved, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The trade will be finished on Saturday, after Minnesota officially trades Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett.

Minnesota will be losing a top player in Kevin Love, but it will gain a strong forward in Young. Last year, Young averaged 17.9 points and six rebounds per game on a 76ers team that won just 19 games. Mbah a Moute and Shved averaged just 3.5 and 4.0 points, respectively, last season.

It might not help Philadelpia’s performance immediately, but the 76ers could benefit from the trade off of the court. Mbah a Moute played a big role in mentoring Sixers first-round draft pick Joel Embiid over the past few years.

While there is a chance Emiid doesn’t play this season because of a fractured foot, Philly.com reports that the 76ers hope Mbah a Moute can help Embiid transition to the NBA game.
