While you were sleeping, Arizona was busy completing the most thrilling comeback of the day against Cal.

The Wildcats stormed back from a 22-point deficit to start the second half, scoring an absurd 36 points in the final quarter — including 19 in the final five minutes — but last play of the game was the craziest of them all.

With time expiring and Arizona trailing 45-43, quarterback Anu Solomon hurled a 47-yard desperation pass into the end zone that miraculously wound up in the arms of Austin Hill amid a sea of yellow jerseys to cap the comeback win.

Insanity commence.

The Hail Mary was Solomon’s 73rd — yes, 73rd — pass of the Pac-12 shootout, as he finished the night throwing for a school-record 520 yards with four of his five touchdown passes coming in the fourth quarter.
