Central Michigan punter Ron Coluzzi’s heart was in the right place on Saturday afternoon, but he paid for trying to do a little too much.
Coluzzi was knocked out of Central Michigan’s game with Purdue after the punter tried to make a tackle on a Boilermakers return. The punter went in to try and finish a tackle, which is where he was run over by the returner, Frankie Williams.
Williams plowed into Coluzzi as he the returner tried to break a tackle, and Coluzzi fell hard to the ground. His head bounced violently off the turf in a pretty scary situation.
Coluzzi left the game and has not returned.
