One swing changed the course of Sunday’s Boston Red Sox-Kansas City Royals game in a hurry.

Batting with the bases loaded in the sixth inning, Daniel Nava took an Aaron Crow fastball and deposited it into the Kauffman Stadium bullpen.

The grand slam was Nava’s first since 2010, when the outfielder went yard with the bases juiced on the very first pitch he saw as a major leaguer. The Red Sox won 8-4 after Nava’s blast turned a one-run deficit into a three-run lead.

Xander Bogaerts also went deep for Boston in the contest, and Eric Hosmer did so for Kansas City.
