The referees weren’t impressed with Brian Hartline’s golfing skills Sunday.
After cutting the deficit to 14-10 against the Kansas City Chiefs with a touchdown in the third quarter, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver celebrated by sinking a long putt. Teammates Ryan Tannehill, Mike Wallace and Dallas Thomas decided to join in on the festivities.

The aftermath of the brief golfing excursion was a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. This gave the Chiefs great field position and led to a touchdown drive that would increase their lead to 21-10. Miami would go on to lose by a score of 34-15.
Following the game, Hartline said he regretted his actions.
“It is what it is; I will learn from it and I made a mistake,” Hartline said via ESPN. “Hopefully my teammates will forgive me.”
Though it proved to be costly, the celebration provided comic relief during a contest between two struggling teams.
