doug martinThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers might be hurting on both sides of the ball when they travel to the Georgia Dome on Thursday night.

Running back Doug Martin and defensive tackle Gerald McCoy both are not expected to play against the Atlanta Falcons, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Martin missed last week with a knee injury — and gained just 9 yards on nine carries in Week 1 — and McCoy is recovering from a fractured hand suffered during Sunday’s loss to the St. Louis Rams.

Martin’s backup, Bobby Rainey, came on strong in the loss, accounting for 174 of the Bucs’ 334 total yards, including 144 on the ground.

McCoy, a first-team All-Pro in 2013, has played in all 16 games in each of the last two seasons.
