New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski said himself that he “definitely, probably won’t take all the snaps” once he returns from his knee injury. Former Pats tight end Jermaine Wiggins agrees.
Wiggy said Monday on “NESN Sports Today” that Gronk won’t see too much of the field when he first returns — which likely could be during Week 1. But that doesn’t mean that he won’t make an impact for New England.
Wiggins added that the star tight end could have an advantage over other players in the NFL due to the fact that he didn’t play during the preseason and has “fresh legs.”
