The latest object of Stewart’s scorn is the NFL, which is in the midst of numerous controversies. It seems like there’s a new one every day, with allegations of domestic violence and child abuse putting the league in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
Stewart skewered the NFL last week, and he was back at it Wednesday night in his opening monologue. The “Daily Show” host went right at the league, this time with a lot of his focus centering around Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who was barred from the team Tuesday while he sorts out legal issues stemming from allegations that he went too far in disciplining his children.
