Someone really should have warned Team USA about New Zealand’s traditional Haka dance.

Before their FIBA World Cup Game on Tuesday, New Zealand did the dance that is customary for the island country before a sporting event. But the pregame ritual was news to the American players, who looked somewhat scared and totally confused as to what was unfolding in front of their eyes.

Derrick Rose and James Harden easily win the award for best reactions out of the group, but Kenneth Faried’s look of bewilderment isn’t bad either.

The dance might have frightened Team USA, but they were able to regroup quickly, as they beat New Zealand 98-71.
