In celebration of the first day of the NFL regular season, Twitter released a bunch of statistics about the league, and some of the results might surprise you.

The most-followed teams are predictable, as they all have large and loyal fanbases. The New England Patriots top the list, followed by the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers. The most-followed players, however, aren’t what you’d expect.

Twitter also analyzed the 2014 offseason based on which teams and players had the most mentions. According to their results, the Cowboys and Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel were all the Twitterverse could talk about.
