Former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob BironasĀ attempted to run another car off the road shortly before his fatal car crash, a woman told a 911 dispatcher, according to The Tennessean.

Bironas, 36, died Saturday night after he lost control of the SUV he was driving while traveling at a high rate of speed. Police said there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs at the scene, but more information leading up toĀ the tragic accident is coming out now.

According to The Tennessean’s report, the womanĀ told policeĀ Bironas was driving erratically and was “dangerous,” telling the dispatcher that when she and her husband pulled over to let him pass,Ā Bironas stared them down before speeding away.

“He is dangerous, he is drunk or something. He tried to start a fight with us,” the woman can be heard saying on the 911 call. “My husband ran down there to see what is going on. I just want to tell the police there is something wrong with him. He is dangerous, he is drunk or he is on drugs. There is something wrong with him. He gave us a mean look. We don’t even know him, and he tried to run us off the road.”

Just a few moments after Bironas sped off, the couple came upon the site of the crash.

Additionally, Bironas’ wife, Rachel Bradshaw,Ā reported him missing to police after she assumed he had went to bed around 10:30 p.m. that night, but realized he was not in the house. Bradshaw, the daughter of Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw said he wasn’t intoxicated, they hadn’t had an argument and it was “highly unusual behavior for him to leave without telling her.”

A Metro Nashville Police spokesmanĀ said Monday the investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE (12:07 P.M.): Details continueĀ to emerge inĀ this sad story.

According to The Tennessean, Bironas attempted to run another car off the road, threatening to kill a car full of Belmont University students and trying to sideswipe their vehicle.

Student Connor Fraley told The Tennessean he was a passenger in a pickup truck that wasĀ driving behind Bironas’ SUV when heĀ noticed a burning smell coming from Bironas’ vehicle.

“His window was down, and we pulled up and I said, “Hey man, just a heads up, something’s burning from your exhaust. Your exhaust smells horrible, just wanted to let you know,” Fraley recalled telling Bironas. “He looked over at me and said “I’m going to kill everybody in your (expletive) vehicle. It was so random, so bizarre I was like, “What?” And he said the exact same thing again.”

Bironas then followed the students, who sped up in an attempt to lose him, but the former kicker stayed close and tried to sideswipe them, according to The Tennessean. Fraley reportedly talked to a 911 dispatcher for the length of the incident before they were finally able to elude Bironas.
