Boston Red Sox rookie Mookie Betts is a second baseman by trade, but because that position will be occupied by Dustin Pedroia for a while, he was switched to center field.
Now, his outfield job is in jeopardy.
Rusney Castillo, who Boston signed to a seven-year, $72.5 million deal in August, is expected to be the starting center fielder, but Betts has been playing well enough to keep his roster spot. If that remains the case, Betts could be moved to one of the corners, the infield or to another team entirely.
Check out what The Boston Globe’s Pete Abraham had to say about the situation in the video above.
