The National Football League is having a rough week, and Jon Stewart was more than happy to pile on.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is under fire from every which way for his handling of the Ray Rice mess. The NFL was exposed on Wednesday when The Associated Press reported that the authorities had sent video of Rice beating his wife to the league, despite Goodell’s insistence that he never saw the video.
One of those who went after Goodell and the league the hardest was Stewart. In his opening monologue Wednesday, Stewart hammered the NFL for its handling of the situation. More specifically, Stewart ripped into Goodell for his recent actions and words.
