Aaron Rodgers needed to reach deep into his bag of tricks to avoid losing to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers trailed the Dolphins 24-20 at Sun Life Stadium with less than 15 seconds left in the game. The clock was running, but rather than spike the ball to set up one final play, Rodgers pulled the old fake spike trick and caught the entire Miami defense napping.

Rodgers’ ten-yard completion to Davante Adams gave the Packers one more chance to score from inside the five yard line. They made the most of it.

The Dolphins were ready for that one, but they still couldn’t stop Rodgers from finding Andrew Quarless in the end zone for the game-winning score. The Packers improved to 4-2 with the 27-24 win, while Miami fell to 2-3. Time to go work on that fake-spike defense.
