Bengals’ Terence Newman Wants Nothing To Do With Tackling Ball Carrier (Video)

The eye in the sky don’t lie, so film review could be rough this week for Terence Newman.

The Cincinnati Bengals cornerback had an interesting approach to tackling Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts — at least if you consider getting out of the way and not even trying an approach to tackling.

Newman looked really bad as he didn’t even try to tackle Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw in the first half. Newman was the first to the hole, but that apparently was good enough for him as he just let Bradshaw run right by him.

Newman is a 36-year-old veteran who entered the game with 23 solo tackles this season, so it’s not like he’s never done this before. Maybe he was just having the football equivalent of a senior moment.

Whatever it was, it wasn’t a great look.
