The Boston Bruins announced Sunday that they have sent forwards Ryan Spooner and Seth Griffith to Providence of the American Hockey League.
Both players were healthy scratches for the Bruins’ 4-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night. The Providence Journal’s Mark Divver reported Sunday morning that both players were expected to play for the P-Bruins on Sunday afternoon against Portland.
Griffith played in three games with Boston after being recalled Oct. 12. The 21-year-old didn’t record a point and was a minus-3 in those three games after the call-up.
Spooner played in five games with the big club before being sent down. The 22-year-old was held pointless in those games and was a minus-2. He has just 11 points in 32 career NHL games and has yet to record his first goal.
