john boyettJohn Boyett can most likely kiss his NFL career goodbye.

The safety was cut from the Denver Broncos practice squad after his arrest, which police say involved him punching a cab driver, stealing a shovel from a construction site and covering himself in mulch to evade cops.

That’s not all.

During his arrest, the intoxicated Boyett repeatedly slammed his head on the window of the cop car, spit and asked authorities to “contact his boss, John Elway.”

Prior to his arrest, Boyett had been drinking at a bar and was so drunk that he started to steal food off other patrons’ plates, made threats to the bartender and he also declined to pay his bill.

This isn’t the first run in with the law for Boyett. After making the Indianapolis Colts’ 53-man roster last year, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following another failed name-dropping situation.
