The Bruins welcome the Philadelphia Flyers to TD Garden on Wednesday night for their first game of the 2014-15 NHL season.

Both teams come into this campaign after disappointing finishes in the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs — Boston lost to the Montreal Canadiens in a seven-game second-round series, while Philly lost to the New York Rangers in seven games in Round 1.

In injury news, Bruins first-line center David Krejci won’t be in the lineup Wednesday night. He was placed on injured reserve Tuesday and will miss the first three regular-season games.
