Joseph RandleJoseph Randle won’t have to steal underwear any time soon.

The Dallas Cowboys running back, who was arrested Tuesday and accused of stealing underwear and cologne from a department store, now has an endorsement deal with underwear company MeUndies, according to ESPN.com.

ESPN.com reports the deal includes MeUndies helping Randle pay the $29,500 fine he was given by the Cowboys after his arrest.

However, this story includes more than a professional athlete taking advantage of his own mistake. MeUndies will help Randle give back to the community. He’ll donate $15,000 worth of underwear and apparel to children in the Dallas area.

“Joseph felt the need to turn a negative situation into a positive and teamed up with MeUndies to give back to his community and help families in need,” MeUndies head of marketing and business development Dan King told ESPN.com.

Randle hopes something good can come of the embarrassing situation.

“There is no excuse for my mistake last week, and I take full responsibility for my actions.” Randle said, according to ESPN.com. “I let down my coaches, teammates, and family. My agent and I have spent a lot of time looking for ways I can turn my situation into a learning experience for young people.

“Partnering with MeUndies allows me the opportunity to give back to others less fortunate than myself, and spread a positive message of not making the same mistake twice.”
