Dale Earnhardt Jr. took the track at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday with a brand-new paint scheme on his car. Before the race, though, he decided to have a little fun with his new ride.
Earnhardt Jr.’s crew rolled out the No. 88 car in a random nearby parking lot, and as you might expect, a few passersby were a bit curious at the sight. When they went over to investigate, though, they got quite the surprise.

No, Dale Jr. did not transform into the automobile he’s so adept at driving. As the end of the video reveals, Earnhardt Jr. was hidden away nearby with a microphone and had some pretty hilarious conversations with a few bystanders, including the little kid at the end, who’s the best.
If you liked the bit, it’s possible you could see more in the future, as Earnhardt Jr. and his new ride went on to win the NASCAR Sprint Cup race later that day. Hot damn, indeed.
