BOSTON — It’s that time of year again: Hockey season is upon us.

The Boston Bruins will face the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night at TD Garden to begin their 2014-2015 campaign. While there’s plenty of reason for excitement, there’s also some cause for concern.

The Bruins placed center David Krejci on injured reserve after he suffered an undisclosed injury in last Saturday’s preseason finale against the Detroit Red Wings. Although Bruins coach Claude Julien called the injury “very, very minor,” Krejci won’t be able to play at least until after Saturday’s regular-season game.

On the non-injury front, forwards Ryan Spooner and Matt Fraser have made the Bruins’ roster. The two played together on the Providence Bruins and look to carry over their chemistry to Boston.
