Derek Jeter, Andy Roddick Among Athletes With Weird Phobias (Photos)

Let’s face it: Most of us have things we fear in life. Whether it’s spiders, bees or flying, there’s probably something out there we’d rather avoid.

A lot of our fears don’t compare with athletes’ bizarre phobias, though.

Take newly retired Derek Jeter, for example. The recently retired New York Yankees shortstop revealed one of his own fears to the world Wednesday during a Twitter Q&A, admitting that he’s scared of cats.

It turns out Jeter isn’t the only notable athlete with a strange phobia of some sort. In fact, there are several, and thanks to Mandatory.com and TheRichest.com, we have a list of some of the most peculiar.

Clearly, it doesn’t matter how big of a star or how big of a person you are. Even the toughest and most famous of athletes worry about the smallest (or strangest) things.
