Kevin Durant’s arms have a considerably long linear extent.

The same does not apply to his hands, apparently, as the reigning MVP admitted to reporters Thursday that he can’t palm an NBA basketball.

Not that it matters.

Durant has managed to score nearly 15,000 points in his seven-year career. He also averaged 32 points per game last season and is arguably the league’s most prolific scorer. Chances are the Thunder don’t really care about Durant’s inability to palm a basketball.

That said, it’s pretty amazing that Durant has been able to accomplish all of that without knowing how to palm a ball. Or it just shows that palming a basketball likely is a useless trait for a scorer.
