The Washington Nationals are hyping up their fanbase for the postseason with an interesting scavenger hunt.

The team placed 100 Jayson Werth gnomes all over the D.C. area on Thursday morning for fans to find. Six of the gnomes are autographed, and if a fan happens to find one of the signed ones, he or she wins free tickets to Saturday’s NLDS Game 2 against the San Francisco Giants.

Fans have been posting photos of the gnomes they’ve found on Twitter and it’s clear the Nationals hid these things everywhere, from gas stations and parks to Georgetown’s campus and corner stores.

The Werth gnomes have been a hit for Nationals fans this season, but one has to imagine how strange it must feel for the slugger to have 100 miniature versions of himself hidden all over town.
