Brandon BrownerFOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots might have to wait another week for Brandon Browner’s season debut.

The veteran cornerback — fresh off a four-game suspension — was absent for Thursday’s practice for undisclosed reasons. Rookie defensive tackle Dominique Easley (knee/shoulder), safety Nate Ebner (finger) and rookie offensive lineman Cameron Fleming (finger) also were absent for the Patriots’ practice in full pads.

Safety Devin McCourty, who suffered a rib injury in Sunday night’s 43-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, was present for practice.

The Patriots are preparing for the Buffalo Bills this week. We’ll know why Browner missed practice around 4 p.m. when the Patriots’ practice participation and injury report is released.
