Arsene Wenger authored one of the sensational stories of the 2014-15 Premier League season Sunday, and no one is going to do anything about it.

Wenger, manager of Premier League club Arsenal, pushed his Chelsea counterpart, Jose Mourinho, during the first half of his team’s 2-0 loss in the Premier League.

England’s Football Association won’t discipline Wenger for his role in the confrontation of esteemed managers, according to Sky Sports.

Both Wenger and Mourinho downplayed the incident during their postgame press conferences, despite their history of mutual animosity.

Wenger explained that he left his technical area to check on Alexis Sanchez’s condition, following Gary Cahill’s rough tackle on the Arsenal forward.

“I don’t regret it,” Wenger told Sky Sports. “What is there to regret? I wanted to go from A to B, and somebody confronted me before B without any sign of welcome. B was Sanchez, to see how badly he was injured. Honestly, I don’t listen to what he (Mourinho) says. You could see if I really try to push. Come on.”

Mourinho claims Wenger was trying to pressure the referee into dismissing Cahill.

“For me, it is over,” Mourinho told Sky Sports. “But the technical area is very clear — I have mine, he has his and he cannot come to mine, especially to put pressure on the referee to give a red card to my player. So I just told him, ‘Leave my technical area and don’t come back please.’ ”

Arsenal’s next game against Chelsea is scheduled for April 25. The teams could face off before then in the FA Cup or UEFA Champions League. Have your popcorn ready for the next round of the ongoing Wenger-Mourinho feud.
