The Kansas City Royals are one win away from the World Series, and their fans simply can’t contain their excitement.

One fan in particular was especially pumped up following Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles that gave the Royals a commanding 3-0 series lead in the ALCS, which was bad news for one local reporter. KMBC 9’s Johnny Kane was startled greatly during his live television report outside Kauffman Stadium when an exuberant fan snuck up behind him and let out a thunderous yell.

“Oh, my goodness! That was a good one! That was a good one! That knocked me out of my shoes,” Kane said.

Kane might be getting knocked out of his shoes once again Wednesday night when the Royals will look to punch their ticket to the World Series.
