It turns out that not even folks in Texas were expecting the Dallas Cowboys to beat the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The Huntsville Item accidentally ran a headline on its front page which read “Seahawks beat Cowboys,” despite Dallas’ 30-23 victory over the reigning Super Bowl champs.

Apparently, the newspaper has no idea how the mistake happened.

“It appears to have been a lapse in communication or some other sort of human error between our news desk and sports desk,” an Item representative told Romenesko. “The correct score and victory appear on the sports page. We’re still looking into the exact cause.”
