Give Tom Brady an “A” for “acting.”
The New England Patriots quarterback went into LeBron James mode Thursday night at Gillette Stadium, greatly embellishing some slight after-the-whistle contact by New York Jets defensive tackle Leger Douzable. Brady’s reaction was so delayed, teammate Jordan Devey actually ended up being the last person to touch him before he went down in a heap.
To be fair, Brady probably should have drawn a penalty earlier, when Antwan Barnes appeared to hit the quarterback well after the ball was away. But a flop’s a flop, and a flopper must be called out.
