Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams played a major role in his team’s success Sunday.
The Cowboys faced third-and-20 on a key fourth-quarter drive against the Seattle Seahawks when Williams and quarterback Tony Romo combined for a miraculous play.
Romo managed to scramble away from multiple defenders and throw a perfect pass to Williams, who reeled it in and tiptoed along the sideline to convert the much-needed first down.
“If he throws it up, I’m trying to gain his trust, so I’m going to catch it regardless,” Williams told reporters, according to The Associated Press.
Dallas running back DeMarco Murray — who became the first player since Jim Brown to record at least 100 yards rushing through the first six games of a season — would finish off the drive with a go-ahead touchdown.
The Cowboys would maintain their lead and improve to 5-1 on the season as they took down the defending Super Bowl champions 30-23.
