Jarome IginlaThe Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche will do battle Monday afternoon at TD Garden, marking Jarome Iginla’s return to Boston.

The probable Hall of Famer will be making his first appearance at the Garden since signing with the Avalanche this summer. The Bruins’ messy salary cap situation was one of the reason’s the winger’s time with the Black and Gold came to an end after one very productive season.

However, the Bruins technically could have had Iginla in the spoked-B a long time ago. Iginla was still on the 1995 NHL draft board when the Bruins made their first pick, but they passed on Iginla, instead deciding to select a defenseman.
