Bruins Pay Tribute To Mayor Menino By Lighting Up TD Garden (Photo)

The Bruins paid tribute to beloved former Boston mayor Tom Menino during Saturday’s game against the Ottawa Senators.

The Black and Gold honored Menino in a pregame ceremony after the 71-year-old passed away Thursday at the age of 71 following a bout with cancer. The tributes also included lighting up the side of TD Garden with an homage to the longtime mayor.

The Bruins, along with the other Boston sports teams, issued statements following the passing of Mayor Menino on Thursday.
