Buffalo’s Bryce Brown’s Costly Fumble Brings Back Bad Memories For Ex-NFLer

Mistakes in football, like any sport, are part of the game. That doesn’t make them hurt any less, though.

Buffalo Bills running back Bryce Brown became the latest NFL player to be reminded of that painful lesson in Week 10

Brown had the chance to be a hero against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he had the ball ripped out of his hands just yards before scoring a pivotal touchdown.

The Chiefs recovered the fumble and ultimately won the game 17-13.

That unfortunate blunder brought up bad memories for former NFL tight end Joel Dreesen. He recalled a game in 2010 when he made two big mistakes moments apart, leading to a loss for the Houston Texans.

“I knew games were not won or lost from a single play or player, but I had never been in this situation before — my mistakes so obvious and magnified at the end of the game,” Dreesen recalled Tuesday on FootballByFootball.com. “I felt so bad for letting everybody on that plane down. Every practice rep and hour spent in meetings had been in vain because I couldn’t hang on to the damn football.”
