Furman Guard Misses Wide-Open Dunk, Two Layups In Painful Sequence (Video)

All Furman guard Stephen Croone wants for Christmas is a fourth chance.

The Paladins traveled to Cameron Indoor Stadium on Wednesday night to play No. 4 Duke, where they subsequently got blown out 93-54. But in the midst of the brutal 39-point loss, Croone put together one of the most painful sequences of all time, missing three wide-open shots in excruciating fashion.

It started out bad enough for Croone, who missed an uncontested dunk in transition in the second half. After the rim bested him, the junior pulled down his own rebound — twice — only to miss horribly on both redemption attempts.

Mercifully, Duke’s Quinn Cook finally snagged the rebound and put an end to what wasn’t Croone’s finest moment.
