NFL: International Series: Dallas Cowboys at Jacksonville JaguarsBubble gum isn’t currency. Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Dwayne Gratz learned that lesson the hard way over the weekend.

Gratz, who took his talents to Miami during the Jags’ bye week, was cited for disorderly intoxication and trespassing, the Florida Times-Union reports. Gratz was arrested just before 6 a.m. Sunday after he attempted to pay for items at a store with gum because he didn’t have any money, according to a Miami Beach Police Department report, .

The report states that police were called after Gratz refused to leave the store, was “making store clients leave and disrupting the store’s business.”

Police arrived to find the second-year player with bloodshot eyes and smelling of alcohol, the report said. The officers gave Gratz multiple chances to leave the store, but after refusing, police finally arrested him and charged him with the two misdemeanors.

Gratz missed Monday’s practice, and his status for the team’s Week 12 game against the Indianapolis Colts remains up in the air.

“He had an unfortunate situation over the weekend, so I expect to see him later this afternoon,” Jags head coach Gus Bradley said, via the Florida Times-Union. “I’ll meet with him and we’ll handle it internally. It’s not good what took place, but it is a matter we have to investigate even more when he gets back here. I want to talk to him and we’ll handle some things with him.”

Gratz, the Jaguars’ third-round pick from 2013, has started seven games this season.
