BOSTON — The Greens turned TD Garden into their own personal Dunk City on Monday night.
The Phoenix Suns’ Gerald Green — a former NBA Slam Dunk champion and ex-Boston Celtic — struck first, teaming up with Isaiah Thomas on a highlight-reel alley-oop midway through the first quarter.
Jeff Green offered his retort less than a minute later when he picked off an Eric Bledsoe pass, took it the length of the floor and skied over Bledsoe for what might be the Celtics’ dunk of the year so far.
