New York GiantsThe New York Giants host the Indianapolis Colts on “Monday Night Football” to wrap up Week 9 of the NFL season. The Colts opened as field goal favorites, and the line has stuck around there at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The total is sitting at 50 points.

The Colts are coming off their first lost since September. They won five consecutive games, both straight up and against the spread prior to that, and are 6-2 against the spread on the season. They are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 “Monday Night Football” appearances and 4-2 ATS in their last six road games.

The Giants are scuffling along, having dropped two consecutive games by double digits before their Week 8 bye. This marks the first time the Giants have been home underdogs this season. They were a home dog twice last year, and lost both games. Prior to that, they had gone 5-1 ATS in six such games dating to 2006.

The OddsShark Computer sees the Giants’ slide continuing, with a prediction of a 30-23 Colts victory. That would get the Colts the cover and also hit the OVER. The total has gone OVER in eight of the Colts’ last 10 games while going UNDER in four of the Giants’ last five games.

The Giants will be without running back Rashad Jennings and defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins. This is the third consecutive game Jennings will have missed, and he hopes to return in Week 10. Jenkins suffered a calf injury in Week 7, and the bye week was not enough time to heal up. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is listed as questionable after getting limited work in practice all week. He played limited snaps in Week 7 and is not 100 percent following the bye.

The Colts will welcome back wide receiver Reggie Wayne, who sat out Week 8 with an elbow injury. He sat out Thursday?s practice but practiced in full Friday and Saturday and expects to play a normal snap count. The Colts will be without linebacker Erik Walden, who suffered a hip flexor in Week 8. Andy Studebaker and Jonathan Newsome will split snaps in his absence.
