P.K. Subban and the Montreal Canadiens return to TD Garden on Saturday for the first time since eliminating the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup playoffs last season.
The last time Subban and the Habs were on Garden ice, they were shaking hands with the Bruins after an impressive Game 7 win in their second-round series. Subban was a focal point of that series — for good and bad — and he’ll likely be the center of attention again Saturday night.
That has him looking forward to playing in front of the Boston crowd, something he shared on Instagram on Saturday. Subban said it was “always special” to play at the Garden in a caption accompanying a photo with the greatest defenseman of all time, Bruins legend Bobby Orr.
A nice picture, no doubt, but still a little unsettling to see No. 4 so close to that Canadiens logo.
