Cody KukukBoston Red Sox pitching prospect Cody Kukuk was arrested Monday on an outstanding robbery warrant issued in Kansas, Long Beach (Calif.) Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Pratt told the Lawrence Journal-World on Wednesday.

Three other men from Lawrence, Kan., were charged last week in connection with a Nov. 8 home-invasion robbery in that city. Police allege the four suspects entered an apartment with handguns and stole cash, two cell phones, an Xbox 360 and the contents of a safe.

Kukuk, 21, will make his first court appearance in California on Thursday and face extradition, Pratt told the Journal-World.

Kukuk, whom the Red Sox selected in the seventh round of the 2011 MLB draft, spent the 2014 season in Single-A. The left-hander went 7-7 with a 4.47 ERA and 1.68 WHIP in 25 starts split between Greenville and Salem.
