The Washington Redskins’ strategy of not covering Coby Fleener has a 50 percent success rate, surprisingly enough.

The Redskins left the Indianapolis Colts tight end wide open during the first quarter of Sunday’s game. Like, really really wide open. Andrew Luck connected with Fleener for quite possibly the easiest 30-yard touchdown pass of the year.

But a Fleener touchdown apparently wasn’t enough to convince the Redskins to maybe cover him. Early in the second quarter, the Redskins forgot about the tight end once again, but this time, they didn’t get burned.

Fleener dropped what should have been a 51-yard touchdown pass with no one near him.

Bold strategy, Redskins. Bold strategy.
