Bill Belichick was proud of the New England Patriots for clinching their sixth straight AFC East title Sunday, but he wasn’t necessarily 100 percent satisfied with the game.

The Patriots delivered a 41-13 beating to the Miami Dolphins, thanks largely in part to a second half in which they outscored Miami 27-0. That means New England was barely hanging on by a score of 14-13 at halftime, something that the head coach addressed in his postgame speech.

“Alright, fellas, 27-0 second half. Talk about finishing. That’s a good job of finishing,” Belichick said, via Patriots.com. “Alright, so look. This gives us a chance now … Puts us in position. Just gives us a chance. So, we still got a long way to go, got to keep improving. We’re going to need to play 60 minutes of good football, not 30, going forward. So, congratulations, AFC East champs.”

Belichick still gifted the Patriots their second straight Monday off, however, so he couldn’t have been too irked by their first-half performance.
