Florida State keeps winning games and keeps moving down in the college football playoff rankings.

TheĀ 12-member selection committee’s second-to-last rankings have TCU ranked at No. 3 after its 48-10 rout of Texas, while unbeaten Florida State falls to No. 4 after edging Florida 24-19. Alabama and Oregon remain at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.

The other big loser in this week’s rankings is Mississippi State, which plummeted out of the top four to No. 10 after losing the Egg Bowl to 31-17 to Mississippi. The first two teams out are Ohio State — which lost quarterback J.T. Barrett to a season-ending injury Saturday — and Baylor.

The nation’s top teams will get one more chance to prove themselves next weekend before the committee announces the seedings the college football playoffs onĀ Sunday, Dec. 7.
