A Canadian beer commercial might be the most heartwarming ad of the holiday season, and this isn’t a joke.
Molson Canadian’s “Anything for Hockey” campaign brings us a touching story about a father who sacrificed so much to allow his son the opportunity to play the game he loved, and a son who is forever grateful for his dad.
As the ad explains, Andrei Lanochkin, a former coach of Estonia’s national hockey team, moved to Canada 17 years ago so that his son, Vitaly, could play hockey at a high level. Molson provided Vitaly a chance to thank his dad for that with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as the two played some puck in an unbelievably beautiful setting — a mountainside rink built just for the two of them.
The father-son duo capped off the incredible day by cracking open a couple cold ones, of course.
