Odell Beckham Jr. quickly is becoming a household name after having an incredible month of November, good enough to earn him Offensive Rookie of the Month honors.
His impressive play on the field even has caught the attention of LeBron James, who arranged to have dinner with the New York Giants rookie wide receiver when the Cleveland Cavaliers came to New York to play the Knicks.
Needless to say, Beckham Jr. was a little excited.
“I know that he is definitely my favorite athlete,” Beckham said, via ESPN. “It was very surreal to be able to meet LeBron.”
James, of course, was one of many to react to Beckham’s unbelievable three-finger catch against the Dallas Cowboys in November, and he offered the young rookie some advice.
“It’s just casual,” James said of the meeting, via ESPN. “Give the kid (a chance to) let him pick my brain a little bit.”
So what did Beckham take away from his dinner with the King?
“First and foremost, handle your business,” Beckham said. “Because if you don’t, it’s just going to make everything else you do a lot harder.”
