Don’t be fooled by their “mini” stature. These kids have some skills.
The TD Bank Mini 1-on-1 tournament kicked off during Sunday night’s Buffalo Sabres-Boston Bruins game on NESN. Any time the Mini 1-on-1s roll around, it’s hard not remember Oliver Wahlstrom, whose highlight-reel lacrosse-style goal went viral in 2012.
Wahlstrom didn’t exactly fall off after his impressive score. The eighth-grader plays on the varsity squad at North Yarmouth Academy, where he has impressed and verbally committed to play hockey at the University of Maine.
