Patriots Injury Report: Chandler Jones Remains Limited In Practice

by

Dec 4, 2014

Chandler Jones spoke to the media Thursday for the first time since injuring his hip in Week 7, which, in New England Patriots speak, translates to good news.

Head coach Bill Belichick traditionally doesn’t allow players to talk to the media until they’re healthy. Of course, Jones talking Thursday could just be a smoke screen to force the San Diego Chargers to waste their time fully preparing for the starting defensive end. Belichick’s a tricky guy to read.

Jones was limited in practice for his fifth consecutive session. He said he’s taking his rehab “a day at a time,” but preferred not to talk about his ailment.

“I try not to talk about the injury,” Jones told the media in San Diego, where the Patriots are practicing this week. “We’re not going to talk about the injury at all.”
