It turns out a television show might not be the best place to find true love after all.

“The Bachelorette” star Josh Murray, the brother of former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and current Kansas City Chiefs backup Aaron Murray, has split from fiancée Andi Dorfman after eight months of dating. Murray popped the question in May on the Season 10 finale of the dating show, and the two most recently appeared together Monday on a special live event of the Season 19 premiere of “The Bachelor.”

Dorfman and the former Milwaukee Brewers prospect, who hit 23 home runs during his six-year minor league career, released a joint statement Thursday that said they mutually decided to call off their engagement.

“After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it’s best for both of us to go our separate ways,” the statement said, per People.com. “We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what’s best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best.”
