If you didn’t already order your copy of “A Gronking to Remember,” you might be out of luck.

Amazon pulled the erotic fiction novel inspired by New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski on Thursday, and The Boston Globe reported that it was because of the cover photos. Specifically, someone took objection to the photo of Gronk wearing the “MHK” patch that the Pats donned during the 2011 season in honor of owner Robert Kraft’s late wife, Myra Kraft.

“I didn’t understand at the outset that Robert Kraft wouldn’t want Myra Kraft and her philanthropical works associated with this,” author Lacey Noonan, who uses a pseudonym, told the Globe in an e-mail. “Total newbie ignorance on my part. I believe — and hope — that’s the only problem anyone has with the book since it is such obvious satire and parody.”

Parody or not, it’s not surprising that someone (probably the NFL) wouldn’t want their images being used for an erotic novel without permission. But hopefully it gets a new cover soon, so the world won’t be deprived.
